NICO - North India Community Outreach

Mr. Rinku Sharma
I was very sad after losing my job and had no money. I was cheating and lying just to survive. I met a NICO pastor that shared the Gospel with me and prayed for me. As he prayed God heard my prayer. I found a job and as I dedicated myself to the Lord and accepted Jesus as my Savior my life was changed forever.

Atma Ram
I was studying for my Master Degree and someone came to share the Gospel with me. When I was getting accepted for Masters in Philosophy there was only 10 seats left and my name was not included. A NICO pastor prayed for me and after his prayer miraculously a place was reopened and I was invited to take that position. This was a life changing experience to see how God answers prayers. I have given my life to him. Today I have completed my Masters and working full time on the administration staff of NICO.

I have been searching for God for a long time and couldn’t find any answers. I felt the world was against me and I didn’t have any peace. I was a very angry person. When I was working in Shimla I met some Christian’s and I saw in their life a peace and joy and life with comfort. I gave my heart to Jesus. I thank God for all his blessings.

Rakesh Kumar
In 2005 before I knew about the Lord my life was full of disappointment and I was using drugs to forget my problems. I came to consider sucide and I was very depressed. I met a NICO pastor and as he prayed for me a joy entered my life and changed my life completely. I accepted him as my Lord and Savior and have been following him faithfully. In 2006 I attended a one year Bible and training center in South India and came back to serve on the field full time with NICO in Shimla. Today I am overseeing the local fellowship and serving in the head administration office of NICO.

Purshotam Lal
When I was studying in the university in Shimla along with one of my cousins. She was possessed by an evil spirit due to the idol worship and Hindu practices of our family and was not able to be delivered and therefore could not study. We came to one of NICO’s churches and my sister was prayed for and intantly delievered. I was very touched by what I saw and decided to follow the Lord and accepted him as my Lord and Savior. Today all 14 members of my family as walking with the Lord and I am serving the Lord with NICO. I have planted a church in my village where over 90 people have been saved and worship the Lord faithfully.

Tikkiam Singh
I was from a Hindu background and lived a life of bondages and disappointment. Even though I had a good family I was not satisfied. Two of NICO pastors working in my village gave me a track to read. When I read the track I felt a peace and a hope and started showing more interested. As these workers shared with me more about Jesus and I gave my life to the Lord I experience joy in my life and had something to live for. I went to Bible school to learn more about Jesus and came back to serve the Lord with NICO full time in North India. I thank God for the ministries I am a part of in the villages I am serving. It is wonderful to see many people come to know the Lord in the area I am working.

Before I knew the Lord my life was full of discouragement. My husband was very sick and his heart and lungs were failing daily. I was working on the road breaking rocks into small stones for and what little I was earning went into his medical bills. A NICO pastor that was living in our village came to us and prayed for my family and especially my husband. We started seeing God’s healing in his body. We gave our lives to the Lord and today after 3 years we have seen a complete and perfect healing in his body. We have dedicated our life to serve Jesus. I run a sewing center and reach out in my community with the testimony how God touched my family.

Suresh & Anju
We were married against the blessing of our family. Our families were not happy with us. At that time we were following a Hindu saint. When we came to the Hindu fellowships we were never encouraged but always felt criticism. We tried to follow other gods and but never felt comfort or peace in the religion. A NICO pastor came and shared with us about Jesus. God showed himself to us through dreams and visions and we didn’t wait any longer to give or life to Him. We want to give Glory to Jesus.
